Skirted Heifer

The Skirted Heifer was such a fun and delicious find! The burgers and fries were next-level—juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The in-house drinks were a total game changer, making a regular Coke seem boring in comparison. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot that’s different, tasty, and genuinely enjoyable, this place is a must.

I had the pleasure of visiting while on vacation. I wasn't a fan on the skinny(really) fries. I did love the burger. I built my own with all the ingredients I like. I like that this establishment has homemade ketchup. Also the drinks are delicious. Great employees. Very welcoming.

Stopped in from Ohio! Excellent burgers and they do havs gluten free buns and fries! I ate the Hangover and loved it so much, I ordered one to go! Great service here too. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The location is easy to get to and has a great atmosphere. We will return!

Absolutely delicious burgers crafted with love and care! Juicy patty with crispy shoestring fries both cooked to perfection! I'm usually a ketchup fan but the Heifer sauce is to die for! The team was also super awesome and even remembered my name after the lunch rush when I came up to get seconds. Hopefully you get to try the Hot Goat someday--it was everything I wanted in a burger!

The signature Skirted Heifer burger is a carnivore’s dream — grass-fed beef wrapped in a fried cheddar cheese “skirt” that extends well past the bun. The flavor and texture are absolutely outstanding, and it’s so good that the fries (which were average) aren’t even needed. The burger stands on its own as the star of the meal. They also score points for thoughtful touches: high-quality metal trays for plating, Boylan’s cane sugar sodas instead of high fructose corn syrup, and even gluten-free bun options, showing they care about both quality and customer health. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, with excellent customer service. Seating includes a patio and a huge open indoor window that creates an airy, open feel. It’s a busy spot (and for good reason) right in the heart of Colorado Springs, directly across from the park — the perfect location. The walls are lined with awards like Best of Colorado Springs year after year, plus a Guy Fieri endorsement from Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives — both well deserved. The only limitation is that there’s just one small restroom, which is clean but lacks a changing table. Families should be aware of this, though it doesn’t diminish the overall excellence of the experience. Bottom line: 5 stars without hesitation. If you’re in Colorado Springs, this is a must-visit.

So, not to be too drastic. But this is the BEST Burger I've ever had and my life has changed forever. Though I am excited for the day I walk through the Pearly Gates, I am glad that Jesus left me on this earth long enough to eat this burger. I went with the Burger of the week (Octoberfest) and it was PHENOMENAL. My wife's build your own burger? PHENOMENAL. Both kinds of fries? Crispy. Salty. PHENOMENAL. It had phenomenal flavor that was delicious to the last bite. The balance of condiments is spot on; each ingredient enhances the overall taste without overwhelming it. The egg was cooked to perfection, with a runny yolk that adds a rich creaminess. Pair this with their sweet potato fries, which are delightfully crisp and seasoned with just the right amount of salt, creating a perfect complement to the burger. I only rated this restaurant a 4 star because of the seating and how overwhelming it is inside the location!
